Abstract :
On behalf of the IEEE Broadcast Technology Society, we would like to welcome you to the 2011 IEEE International Symposium on Broadband Multimedia Systems and Broadcasting BMSB2011. With its beginnings in 2006, the BMSB conference has developed into one of the world´s premier international events in this field. Over the years, the conference has been following important trends in multimedia systems and broadcasting, balancing both academic research interests and application related aspects. Reflecting relevant technological trends such as the convergence of telecommunications, multimedia broadcasting and networking, emerging novel technologies and services such as IPTV, mobile TV and 3D-TV have been key topics.
