Abstract :
With the expansion of wireless communication into our homes and with consumer demand rising for support of data rates of 100 Mbps and above, identification of system requirements motivates the need for rigorous modeling of the wireless home environment. In this study we extract a parametric macro model from wideband channel sounding measurements. The model captures both temporal and spatial characteristics of the channel by quantifying the presence of multipath components with the Rician K-factor, reducing the measured field information into cluster parameters, and representing the channel´s spatial correlation as a function of cluster power and angle spread.
