Abstract
IEEE std 515 IEEE recommended practice for the testing, design, installation, and maintenance of electrical resistance heat tracing for industrial applications has been widely used in the process industry. After completing its second 5-year review cycle, 515 is now an IEEE standard. This paper presents the changes to 515 and discusses the rationale used in harmonizing 515 with other worldwide standards
