Abstract :
As the key technology applied in the internet of the things (IOT), the transducer technology plays a driving effort on the development of the IOT. IEEE 1451.4 defines a mixed-mode interface(MMI) for the smart transducers and the formats of the Transducer Electronic Data Sheet (TEDS), which adds the play-plug function to the analog transducer. With the prototype applied in IOT, it will save much time used to recognize and describe the transducer and will supply with more useful information, such as calibration and orientation parameters. It will bring much convenience to the management of the transducer code in IOT. This paper briefly introduces the IEEE 1451.4, gives an instance of applying the IEEE1451.4 prototype in IOT to measure the real-time ice-thickness.
