  • Abstract
    A new method to find reflection points on NURBS surfaces is presented. The technique uses the swarm particle optimization to perform the points´ searching. The points are referred to the parametric coordinates of the surface and a cost function, based on the Snell´s Law and the Fermat´s Principle, is applied to find the best position. The technique is an alternative to another minimization methods like the conjugate gradient, and can be applied to cases with bad convergence.
