Abstract :
This paper discusses key elements of an electrical safety program in an industrial environment. Included are examples of processes for a new program or one already in place. The paper can serve as a checklist whereby an employer or individual can identify areas of improvement and take appropriate actions. Applicable national and international consensus standards are also discussed and correlated with aspects of the program. In addition, the paper offers information on safety meetings, audits and walkthroughs and types of protective equipment
