Abstract :
This paper proposes a new integrated observer-based fault estimation and accommodation strategy for discrete-time Takagi-Sugeno (T-S) fuzzy systems subject to actuator faults. Specifically, a robust observer is designed to simultaneously estimate the state and the actuator fault. Using the fault estimation, a robust fault tolerant controller based on the concept of input-to-state stability (ISS) is proposed to achieve fault accommodation. In this paper, all the design conditions are formulated in terms of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs) which can be solved efficiently. Finally, a numerical example is provided to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.
