Abstract :
Galileo, the future European GNSS, is planning to transmit navigation signals in four sub-bands (E5a, E5b, E6 and E1) within the L band. There are also other applications which use the L band worldwide, sharing the spectrum with GNSS or utilizing neighboring bands. Reports of measurement campaigns have shown that unaided GNSS receivers could experience loss-of-lock near FM and TV broadcast transmitters Also, in the surrounding area of airports, VHF radionavigation systems and VHF communication systems can produce interference to GNSS receivers. Thus it is important to better understand the effects of RF interference to GNSS receivers, in order to improve mitigation solutions. In this paper we address the particular issue of the effect of narrowband CWI on the acquisition of MBOC Galileo navigation signal, using unambiguous acquisition techniques (B&F, M&H, UAL). This topic was not studied before in the literature, to the best of the authors´ knowledge.
