Abstract :
In this paper, miniaturization of a wireless microphone antenna for a broadcast is aimed at 220MHz(1lambda=1363mm). First of all for miniaturization, a single rectangular loop antenna using meander lines is designed. To extend a bandwidth, a smaller rectangular antenna using meander lines is inserted into an inside of a rectangular antenna using meander lines and each of them has a feeding. Then, it has double resonance and a bandwidth for common microphone is produced -10dB bandwidth of 10MHz. A beam pattern is omni-directional in z-x plane(vertical pol.) and the maximum gain is -16dBd. It is simple structure and easy for mass production by printing technology. Therefore, a designed 2-layered rectangular loop antenna using meander lines is verified to be proper for a wireless microphone antenna.
