Abstract :
An interference suppression technique is proposed based on STAP in space-frequency domain for multi-channel synthetic aperture radar (MSAR) wideband mainlobe or sidelobe interference. The performance of wideband interference is analyzed. Interference suppression is accomplished by the SAR echo data projected in the orthogonal subspace of the interference subspace. The interference subspace is derived by the eigen subsapse of the training data covariance matrix. Thus, the technique of space time adaptive processing (STAP) is successfully applied to the field of wideband interference supression for MSAR in space-frequency domain. Finally, a clear SAR image is obtained by using the echo data interference-suppressed. Experimental results show that the algorithm proposed in this paper can effectively suppress wideband interference with the useful signal being kept well. It is meaningful and useful to the aspect of SAR anti-interference imaging.
