Abstract :
In this paper a comprehensive equivalent model for a distribution system and statcom dynamics is proposed based on the state voltages and currents. Also a novel and efficient linear feedback control strategy based on utilizing quasi steady state solution, as reference signals, is represented. In order to design load and dc bus voltage transfer functions, a composite ´Lead Phase and Pole Placement´ method is employed. The robustness and stability of the controller is examined using simulation results. Time domain simulations are carried out using MATLAB software. A comparison with a nonlinear controller recently introduced is also made.
