Abstract
Large induction motors driving high inertia loads, such as fans, blowers, and reciprocating compressors, may take a longer time to accelerate to full speed than their allowable (safe) stall time. This paper discusses the available types of stall protection for motors whose starting time exceeds their allowable stall time
