Abstract :
The current convergence of computer, networks and audiovisual technologies motivate the introduction of new computer systems for the storage and semantic indexation of audiovisual documents (AV). In this paper, we shall present an experiment on the description of audiovisual materials in medicine. We suggest a general architecture of the indexation system of AV documents, which operates the domain ontology (medical ontology). This system uses a method based on the process of extracting concepts and semantic relations.
