Abstract :
THz biochip concepts are an attractive possibility for label-free biomolecular sensing. Existing microstrip resonator sensing approaches have reached limitations which make new concepts necessary. Frequency selective approaches exhibit an attractive sensing potential. However, biosensing in an aqueous environment remains a highly attractive challenge which would significantly broaden the application range of THz biosensors. We gratefully acknowledge financial support by the European Commission under the project Teranova.
