Abstract :
With the continuous improvement of people´s life, the demand of 3D technology is not only restoring the real scene more scientifically, but minimize the discomfort of human eyes. Visual discomfort is caused by the distortion during the converting process of coordinate from the camera space to the display space in the entire imaging process. Through the analysis and simulation of the geometric distortion of 3D videos in this paper, we can conclude the effects of each parameter to the virtual images synthesized in human brains. Thereafter, taking the theoretical results of concerning parameters in simulative experiments as references, we made 3D effects to form several complete testing sequences. Through the analysis of evaluative data and simulative results we can confirm that the greater the geometric distortion is, the stronger the visual discomfort is. Additionally, a range of parallax for 3D visual effects comfort is obtained at the same time.
