Abstract :
To address the needs of a variety of image processing applications, a new microcomputer-based imaging system using color cell compression (C3) and C3-virtual techniques is presented. It is a primary object of the new imaging system to provide an improved digital color imaging system which produces excellent quality images and a high degree of versatility while using an extremely small amount of encoded data. These new imaging systems apply a digital signal processor (DSP) to speed up the compression scheme, which can help the system to operate in real time
