Abstract :
Many experts investigated the relations between the heart and the automatic nervous system (ANS). Most commonly, physicians nowadays use the heart rate variability (HRV) to observe ANS more than others. Instead of previous HRV method, the aim of this research is to find additional ANS indicator(s) for distinguishing the ANS related poses, which are resting pose and 90deg head-up tilt. For the result, we surprisingly discovered that the mean of PR intervals increased for 27 out of 31 persons who tilted their heads, which is better than the traditional HRV analysis. Hence, our experiment confirmed that PR interval is a potential indicator to contribute on the pacemaker algorithm, doctor diagnosis, HRV analysis, and ANS physiological modelling.
