Abstract
Vibration analysis and experimental study of disk-spindle system in hard disk drives are presented in this paper. The natural frequencies, mode-shapes and frequency response are calculated with the consideration of the flexibility of rotor and base structures of disk-spindle system. The analytical model is verified by comparing the simulation results with the experimental data for various of motor configurations and size. It is shown that they agree very well with each other.
