Abstract :
Deflectron as sub-millimeter-wave amplifier is analyzed theoretically. As output circuit in sub-millimeter region, inductive coupling is attractive because transit time between input stage and output stage can be ignored, although it requires high current density. To get high current density, focusing of electron beam and high acceleration voltage are assumed.
