Abstract
Summary Form only given, as follows. The treatment of the Boltzmann equation by several investigators for the determination of the electron energy distribution function (EEDF) in noble gases has been restricted to static discharges. The present author has developed the Boltzmann equation to account for the effect of the bulk fluid flow on the EEDF. The results, which are of great interest to magnetoplasmadynamic power generation, are supported by the measurements and arguments of several investigators and show that the spectra of a weakly ionized turbulent flow and of a neutral gas flow are almost identical.<>
