Abstract
Site selection is a basic function for GIS technology, but it has not been used widely in the process of park site selection. Many factors should be considered during this process, such as ecology, society, landscape and existing parks layout. In this study, four park site selection conditions were put forward according to above factors. Based on these selection conditions, combining SPOT5 RS image, the park candidate sites were selected using GIS site selection function. With these park candidate sites, the urban planner could select park sites more rationally and conveniently.
