  • Abstract
    This paper presents a study to easily and effectively evaluate the rationality of a road network structure in a container terminal yard. The fuzzy systematic evaluation method, which is found in the planning and evaluation theory on city traffic network, is used and a set of quantitative parameters is derived. A simple criterion based on the calculated value of the above parameters is proposed to directly make evaluation decisions. The effectiveness of the approach is verified through a case study to apply the approach to design and planning of a new container terminal.
