Abstract :
We present a novel design approach of multilayer dielectric structures using linear programming. The design problem is approximated as a linear program. Interior point methods (IPM) are then utilized for efficiently solving the approximate problem. The proposed technique is fast and flexible allowing the designer to add any number of constraints. The results show that the used approximation is tight and has a good match with the exact solution.
