Abstract
This paper describes an Integral Technical Information Management System (ITIMS), which has been designed to operate in industrial fields where it is necessary to monitor a number of processes. ITIMS is a distributed instrumentation environment with ubiquitous access to information that has been developed using standard information and communications technologies, and which is currently operative in the ENDESA-As Pontes coal-fired power station, located in Galicia (NW Spain).
