Abstract :
Three case studies in the use of computer conferencing are discussed. The first use of conferencing is for the exchange of ideas among the members of a tightly knit project team. The second case involves the use of a computer conference to conduct a task force to a rapid conclusion at minimal cost. The process and results are discussed for both. The third use of conferencing is an experiment underway to improve communications and manage a large group of projects that have the involvement of three separate, and sometimes contending, organizations spread over two countries
