Abstract

The image acquisition and processing of Multimode Airborne Digital Camera (MADC) and its application in the digital city are introduced in this paper, which include urban landscape visualization, land cover survey, building identification, road investigation, city planning monitoring etc . The town of Shilongzhen, a part of Dongguan city in Guangdong province located in the south of China was taken as an example for the application and analysis. The workflow was proposed for image processing and information extraction using MADC image data. The demand and trend of the application of remote sensing in digital city was discussed too.
