Abstract
As an effective method for congestion control, active queue management plays an important role in improving the QOS of the Internet. We analyze the control mechanisms of typical transport layer protocols and AQM through dual theory, pointing out that although AQM is stateless, it has potential to improve flow fairness and stabilize queue length. Simulations verify our results.
