  • Abstract
    A physical approach is employed to estimate the rotor flux for a position sensorless induction machine drive system. This approach is based on the fundamental operating characteristics of the induction machine. The estimator structure calculates the rotor flux accurately at low speeds, and is largely insensitive to parameter variations. System structure, theoretical analysis, simulation, and laboratory results are presented
