  • Abstract
In this paper we present a theoretical analysis of the propagation of electromagnetic (e.m.) fields inside a flat-phantom used for SAR assessments. In particular, this analysis deals with the exponential approximation (EA) proposed in Manning, M., et al (2002): in the context of peak-averaged SAR (PAS) assessments, the e.m. field can be assumed to vary exponentially along the direction orthogonal to the bottom of the phantom.
