Abstract :
In this paper optimum power flow for Iraqi National Super Grid was studied. load & generation were obtained from Iraqi Control Centre. Mathematical model using Lagrange method programmed in Matlab language was used to study the effect of the types and numbers of contingencies (faults in one line, two lines, line and generator, three lines........etc.) on the system power flow and total system losses.d
