Abstract :
This paper concerns a circular CPW-fed slot antenna suitable for compact ultra-wide band applications, in which its operating frequency range covers 10MHz up to 2000MHz or far more. A simple design method is presented and expanded to some qualitative analysis on the resonant mode of the proposed antenna for understanding the broadening process of the impedance bandwidth. The measurement results of the fabricated prototype antenna is also given and compared with those of the simulated.
