Abstract :
The previous theoretical results for the effective thermopower αe in random two-component systems are extended and analyzed using the effective-medium theory. It is shown that in almost all cases of metallic and both degenerate and nondegenerate semiconductor components we can calculate independently the effective electrical conductivity σe and thermal conductivity χe, which determinate the value αe in these systems
