Supporting large meetings with query awareness

Computer support for large meetings has more profound effects on productivity than computer support for small meetings. This makes the design of support a particularly worthwhile task. The key design issue of “awareness for large groups” is discussed. “Query awareness” provides large groups and especially their facilitators with an overview over the group´s activities. The facilitator can query the shared material on the basis of context information (time, persons, subgroup, etc.) and see the results marked in his workspace.
