Abstract :
This article investigates how sentiments of belonging to particular localities are created, maintained and modified throughout time within six Sardinian sacred places. It will be argued, in fact, that this sense of belonging and attachment to such places and territories is itself a vehicle for the formation and reassertion of individual and collective identities.
