Abstract :
A new pre-clipping algorithm is proposed to reduce the number of triangle primitives that needs the computation-intensive clipping operations. Furthermore, we present a new hardware-efficient clipping method that requires only half of hardware cost. Experiments show that the preclipping can reduce 20%~50% of the triangles requiring clipping.
