Abstract :
A novel plasmonic waveguide structure based on mode-gap concept is proposed, which shows improved the propagation and bend characteristics compared to the conventional metal stripe waveguides at optical wavelengths. In the proposed structure, the plasmonic mode-gap effect is obtained by using two different metals. The properties of the proposed waveguides are investigated numerically.
