Abstract
In this paper, some important second-order statistics such as the correlation coefficient, level crossing rate, and average fade duration of eigen-channels, are studied, in time-varying Rayleigh multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) channels, assuming a general non-isotropic scattering environment. Exact closed-form expressions are derived and Monte Carlo simulations are provided to verify the accuracy of the analytical results. These results serve as useful tools for analysis and design of MIMO systems in time-varying channels.
