Abstract :
A simulation model using CSIM has been developed to study the performance of the fiber distributed data interface (FDDI). The MAC (medium access control) protocol simulated conforms to the proposed ANSI standard (ASC X3T9.5). The model is used to assess the influence of operating target token rotation time on the FDDI ring performance and the performance of varying ring configurations. The simulation results are presented
