Abstract :
Wind speed estimation for the stratospheric airship is studied in this paper. A one-dimensional dynamic model of the airship is established based on the stress analysis. An extended Kalman filter is designed to estimate the speeds of the airship and the wind with the position information of the airship. Numerical simulations show that the filter is effective and robust against some parameters´ uncertainty.
