  • Abstract
Ever since personal computers have become fast enough to solve problems in computational electromagnetics (CEM), the focus has been on reliability, that is numerical accuracy, as well as on efficiency of such software. To ensure reliability further in the future with increasing model complexities it is crucial to apply new strategies for accuracy controls and independent means of verification. To provide efficiency in CEM not only calculation times have to be reduced, but the total engineering workflow, including model import and solver setup, must become more efficient. The products of CST are determined to follow these engineers´ demands; in particular, CST MICROWAVE STUDIOreg fosters future applications in antennas and EM engineering hand in hand with reliability and efficiency. Applying solver strategy automation, using coupled CEM simulations, and parallel computing we meet the needs of engineers now and in the future.
