Abstract :
A Simplified Quantum mechanical (QM) charge transfer (CT) model has been proposed for charge transfer (CT) in DNA chain. To check the accuracy of the model, simulated results and experimental results are compared and found excellent agreement. In spite of simplification the model is capable of explaining distance dependent charge transfer (CT) in DNA chain both qualitatively and quantitatively. This model incorporates both elastic tunneling and inelastic scattering concurrently, which as per the best knowledge of the authors has not yet been proposed in the literature.
