Abstract :
It is crucial important to fumigate imported wood for the prevention of diseases and pests at ports. Lots of money will be needed to buy essential equipment and to construct a fumigation and quarantine farm for a port. The computer modeling and simulation of imported wood fumigation process before building the farm will reduce the risk and cost. Timed Colored Petri Nets (TCPN) is used to establish the workflow of fumigation model for a Chinese port. Then, the model will be simulated and demonstrated by the simulation software Flexsim. And at last in this research, the results of the simulation will be analyzed and some advice for the workflow of fumigation will be given.
