Abstract :
In this paper, a new type of compact monopole antenna for UWB applications is proposed. The proposed antenna comprises of a half-circle cross-plate configuration and a top circle-plate. Simulation and measurement results show that the proposed antenna is capable of providing the 7.5 GHz ultra wide bandwidth and a good radiation performance across the operating band. The time domain performance of this proposed antenna is also given in the paper.
