Abstract :
This paper introduces the advantages of using Java in man-machine interface (MMI) systems. Java is thought as a new computer technology which has the best prospect in software field. When using Java in the development of MMI systems, it is necessary to combine the analysis and design of MMI systems with the object-oriented nature of Java. MMI systems taking advantage of Java should be implemented in a Java environment of development and execution based on clients/servers and Java language. A design scheme that combines Java with object-oriented distributed open MMI systems is described based on the object-oriented, distributed and portable characteristics of Java. A programming fashion that implements the main frame of MMI systems in Java applications and the parts which need to be integrated and browsed dynamically in Java Applets are presented
