Abstract
A novel configuration of the adaptive antenna was proposed. The transmitting and receiving channel is 1. There are no restrictions on the type and installation of the antenna element. A variable reactance load is connected with each element. The current on the element excited by the incident wave is reflected by it. The phase and amplitude vary according to the reactance value. The current is taken out by the directional coupler or the circulator. After adjusting the amplitude, they are combined with the power combiner. The reactance and amplitude value for adaptable beamforming are searched by the direct search. The effectiveness of the method is demonstrated by the computer simulation.
