Abstract :
Electromagnetic diffraction radiation and transmission of subwavelength holes array excited by a line charge are explored. The mechanism of this novel 3D diffraction radiation phenomenon is revealed. Making use of the integral equations with relevant Green´s functions, an analytical theory for such system is worked out. The results of calculation based on the theory are well agreed with that of computer simulations. The various situations of these phenomena are discussed in details.
