Abstract

This paper describes the features of the Central China Power System. There were serious problems of security and stability in the Central China Power System before the establishment of the Central China Power System in 1980 and during its beginning period. The security and stability situation of the Central China Power System were gradually improved after several effective measures have been taken step by step by the Central China Power System to improve the power system security and stability, and there have been no more serious security and stability problems. But, along with the development of the power system and the commissioning of the power stations like the Three Gorge Power Station, new measures shall be studied
