Abstract
In this paper, the author uses the Rockwell Arena simulation software to simulate two kinds of Congestion of visitors moving of Shanghai Expo2010. The results indicates that the congestion of entrance check-in of Expo park can be controlled in advance, about 200 ticket punches may cater to the requirement. Another problem is considered to be the congestion of popular venues in the park. Even assuming that waiting outside of the hall for 30 minutes is acceptable to the visitors, the capacity of a single popular hall can not be smaller than 16,000 persons. To avoid this kind of problem, related plans must take the area of the popular halls and their location into consideration. At the same time, effective evacuation measures must be adopted in business hours.
