Abstract
In this paper, first the simulation and analysis of the traditional UWB model is conducted, Then considering the frequency-dependent feature of UWB channels and the factors that affect radio signal propagation in the real defense engineering underground tunnels environment, the traditional model is modified and a new UWB path loss model, which is fit for underground tunnel in national defense engineering, is obtained. Then the UWB radio wave propagation loss index in the actual measurement environment is predicted. Then the forecasted results are least-squares curve fitting, and the path loss exponent obtained is smaller compared to that in the actual measurement and the reasonableness of the modified model is verified.
