Abstract :
In this conference paper, we present a broadband folded shorted-patch antenna with a L- shaped slot. By cutting a L-slot on the patch and using a thicker profile, impedance bandwidth of the folded shorted patch antenna can be enhanced from 29% to 76% (SWR < 2). Also, the gain deviation can be reduced from 8dB to 5dB over 1.6 times wider impedance bandwidth. Actually, the proposed antenna has the widest impedance bandwidth and the highest gain among the reference antennas.
